I bought it for my partner’s Flubs deck which I simply call “I have no one to blame but myself”. It was part of an Advent calendar of cards I curated for him.

My friend brought over a booster box of Foundations instead and we did our own 1v1 sealed, a few rounds of pai gow, and did some Lorwyn trades. Good times!

I loved Turtles as a kid but it’s just an aesthetic miss for me. If it was one of only 3 or 4 sets coming out this year, I would be more inclined to participate to not miss out on a rare opportunity, but this “wait 6 weeks and there will be another prerelease” pace makes it easy to skip.

A real bummer for me, someone who loves textile arts and would otherwise be fascinated to know if it was made with traditional lace making techniques, perhaps by one of the convents where nuns still produce lace as a means of support.

On anyone else it would be a nice nod to the sartorial history of the church and a show of respect while participating in another persons faith, but in the context of JD Vance it feels like an appeal to the Trad Cath movement.

I mean, I immediately replaced it with Vorinclex, Monstrous Raider to create a different sort of villainous math…

I was really tempted to put this in my Rin and Seri deck (Feigning Cats and Dogs) but I’m finding that my tables aren’t down for a little mini game in the middle of a turn. Heck, I felt bad for the guy I forced to do 1/1 counters math by playing Parallel Lives that I took it out of my Gluntch deck.

I tried. On the plus side, that organ won’t be able to scuttle my plans anymore mwahaha!

I wanted to show some coworkers my favorite stuffed animal growing up so I googled “platypus plush” with no luck. Then I tried “platypus plush vintage” and it was the first hit.

I was so mad.

Thank you it means so much. They provided a much needed “third place” for our community. Such amazing people who worked so hard to overcome the “Nightmare Mode” setting that was starting a business in 2019, mere months before the pandemic hit. Their resolve to rebuild is inspiring.

My first and only deck on arena runs it and Moss Born Hydra and is called “Pothos”

Fond memories of one of my first times playing in a pod with my finished counters deck, dropping that, and the gentleman across from me picking it up, squinting at it and saying “hey chat, how much of a problem is this going to be?”

I got my pre-sleeved 50 basic lands from Wilds of Eldraine in a deck box with the empty sleeves ready to go for all my limited events. Love them.

Same I’m tempted to take some extra time and visit the Monterey Aquarium as part of my trip down to Tal-Con. One of my favorite places in all the world.
