Welcome! You are invited to join a webinar: Breaking the Silence: Supporting Disabled Workers at Work. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email about joining the webinar. Despite decades of legal protections, TUC research shows that disabled workers continue to face systemic discrimination, bullying, and exclusion in workplaces across the UK. This Disability History Month, join our practical webinar designed for union reps who want to make a real difference in changing that culture. This session gives you the tools to challenge discrimination, build trust, and push employers to take real action. Drawing on the latest findings from the TUC’s July 2025 research, we’ll explore: - Common employer barriers to supporting disabled workers β€” and how to challenge them effectively. - Building trust and confidence so workers feel safe to disclose disabilities. - Handling bullying, discrimination, and harassment complaints fairly and firmly. Tackle discrimination. Build confidence. Demand inclusion. We want everyone attending TUC events to have a safe and enjoyable experience. If you require any adjustments or assistance to participate at this event, please le

PhD Project Call out: Advisory Board
Email: ssrhlg@leeds.ac.uk LinkedIn: Ruby Goodley X: @ruby_goodley TRANSCRIPT: Hello, my name is Ruby Goodley. The purpose of this video is to display some more information about me as a researcher, why this project is exciting and important, and what I need from you as a participant in my project. I am a cisgender white woman with blonde curly hair and wearing a black tank top with tattoos visible on my arm and I'm in front of a blurred background. So a little bit about me as a researcher. I'm a second year funded PhD researcher at the University of Leeds and this project comes out of my undergraduate tutelage in social anthropology at the University of Manchester, where disability was mentioned a handful of times during the curriculum. And the absence of Disability Studies and a focus on disability in the discipline led me to interrogate where are all the disabled anthropologists. So in my own personal experience, I have a hidden impairment through my diagnosis of irritable bowel PhD Project Call out: Advisory Board
