Pocket couldn’t keep my attention for very long. its constant release schedule, lack of card crafting, and general laziness in reusing old art (rather than paying artists for new pieces) lost my interest a few sets ago. maybe it’s just the intangible nature of it compared to the real deal. oh well 🤷🏼‍♂️

Any other Pokemon TCG players bored and/or exhausted by this format? It’s just fucking endless Gardevoir and Dragapult. Even if they don’t win, they’re always in contention to win. The game just feels stale. And every deck not named Gardevoir or Dragapult is built around “how do we beat them?”.

I feel that. competitive Pokemon TCG over time always boils down to 2-3 top decks max. this makes for very uninteresting live gameplay.

what does feel nice is playing in person with others who are more interested in playing fun decks specifically for the sake of having fun.

no Gardy. no Pult.

it’s been just over a week since #PokemonLegendsZA came out. I haven’t bought it yet, but have been trying to gauge if it’s worth it for the price of the Switch 2 + game.

if the game isn’t very long or runs out of content fast, that doesn’t bode well for its longevity.

Given that the card is one of the most important inclusions in this release, this issue certainly came up in quality assurance testing.
