So. Noticed the brightness on my tablet randomly dimming today, so it's likely on its way out (which I expected eventually). I have a new one coming in, but it still sucks in that this was an unexpected big expense. But. I can't art without a tablet. Shouldn't interrupt workflow.

I'm not a tough or a killer GM/DM by any means, but it's a great feeling when my players actually start getting paranoid and taking the threat levels of my encounters seriously or aren't surprised at how much I've given thought to when it comes to planning certain scenarios. :>

After 4 years of GMing PF2e, I feel like I've gotten the hang of creating good combat encounters that offer threat and challenge, but are still balanced and don't have a lot of crazy mechanics. It's always a compliment when players tell me they respect the threat. :>

I really, REALLY want to do a stream where I talk about writing because I've been in a yapping mood, and I haven't done a non-TTRPG stream in a while. But I also kind of want to have someone to yap with like a roundtable sort of thing. Or I can just yap by myself. That's totally doable. XD

And then you kinda have to scrap or scale back any sort of hook or storyline you might've thrown their way because they're just sort of giving you static or just off in their own bubble. And then it's even more awkward when the rest of the group even notices. Yeah...not a great situation to be in.

Yeah... I know what this feels like, and it's difficult to deal with. They're enjoying playing, but at the same time, not really giving you anything to work with, interacting with stuff, engaging with other players/party members - they're just kinda THERE.

Realized I haven't posted much art despite having done a lot of art lately, so have some NPC art! Meet Petra Durant, sister of Cumaenos, the Life Oracle in my #pathfinder2e ReGenesis campaign. A rough around the edges Monk with a reputation as a 'fixer'. Don't piss her off. ;)

Whenever I have people create characters, I usually allow them to come up with one or two free lores related to their background, hobbies, or skills, and I try to find ways to incorporate those into the campaign or various skill checks. It's never failed to garner really cool interactions.

Welp. At least it's only a few weeks until the Jays start playing again. D:

You know what's awesome about being multi-talented? I can put together -almost- anything I want when the mood strikes me. Been working on something for the past while that I'm really excited to show off soon. :3

Weirdly enough, I've never had that issue in the few years that I've been GMing, but I've been lucky enough to be able to defeat the monster that is scheduling with the way I run things. >_>

And the genre shift has only become even MORE apparent with the recent story developments. All that 'oddly placed' tech? Hints. The Chekov's Gun. You're SUPPOSED to believe it's a medieval fantasy. It's what makes the reveal that you're actually in a dark sci-fi/cosmic horror all the better.

I enjoy Genshin Impact. I love it for its visuals, its music, and its story. Over the years, I've seen people complain about the story, complain about all the 'oddly placed' advanced tech when it's supposed to be a medieval fantasy setting. But if you pay attention, you notice the genre shift.
