#lufc Farke will not change formation on Wednesday for two reasons: firstly, he doesn’t like playing that way, and secondly, he wants to show the rest of us he was right all along. Unfortunately, 11 points from 13 games shows he’s not right all that often.

I’m sure the players like him - I quite like him. That doesn’t mean his inability to react to what’s happening in games, his substitutions and his refusal to start with a system that the players were bought for hasn’t bordered on the ridiculous at times.

If it was Farke’s call - which I have to say I doubt - why on earth is he not setting up and playing to their strengths then?

I don’t think Forest are going down anyway, it’s us or West Ham I reckon. If he does go back to 4-3-3 then he’ll lose his job if we don’t improve so perhaps that might make him think twice!

No but we also can’t spend the rest of the season hoping everyone around us has unwinnable games. At some point we need to start picking up some points ourselves. I actually think we’ll get something Wednesday.

I really hope he’s bluffing.

#lufc All that second half did was highlight just how needlessly stubborn Farke has been all season. Early changes, a formation that suits us, Aaronson brought on at the end to charge around a bit. We’d be comfortable by now if we’d seen a bit more of that in the last 12 games.

The formation. Went to three at the back and moved the ball quickly to two up front. Basically the way we should have been set up all season. Even your two small humans have probably worked that out.

I don’t think we were the better side against any of those teams. In fact we were bloody awful against Burnley, and didn’t deserve anything last week.

I genuinely think that’s what they have in mind otherwise why freeze him out?

On his day, our best player - but he’s not getting back to that form without an extended run in the team.

Exactly this. The irony is constantly having one eye on defence isn’t working anyway, we’re shipping goals. His over caution just means we’re ineffective at both ends.

#lufc Don’t see that we need to ring the changes at home so long as BA is benched. We’ve done alright at home. It’s away that we have to change things as we just look set up to lose.

Been saying this for weeks. If he’s not going to play to the height in the squad - get the ball forward quickly, try to win set pieces, etc - we may as well just go for it and play the same way home and away. We’re getting battered anyway in every away game trying to be cagey.

OK granted. I’d forgotten about Buonanotte. I think Harry Wilson was a bit of a last day afterthought. They still got nine transfers over the line, I just think it’s a bit of a stretch to say he wasn’t backed. We’re haemorrhaging goals with supposedly our first choice back line and keeper.
