I cannot accept this invitation, for I do not believe that the mean-
ing of the Constitution was forever "fixed" at the Philadelphia Con-
vention. Nor do I find the wisdom, foresight, and sense of justice
exhibited by the framers particularly profound. To the contrary, the
government they devised was defective from the start, requiring sev-
eral amendments, a civil war, and momentous social transformation
to attain the system of constitutional government, and its respect for
the individual freedoms and human rights, that we hold as funda-
mental today. When contemporary Americans cite "The Constitu-
tion," they invoke a concept that is vastly different from what the
framers barely began to construct two centuries ago

At an event commemorating the 200th birthday of the United States, a sitting Supreme Court Justice was invited to celebrate "the memory of the Founders and the document they drafted in Philadelphia."

Justice Thurgood Marshall declined

LOL. Ghislaine Maxwell also said Jeffrey Epstein never did anything disturbing around her! That's how she caught two perjury charges.

one of the most infuriating parts of the Epstein story is over the same years that young women went to police and reported assault, and were ignored, law enforcement is pushing this idea that they need massive grants and manpower to rescue thousands of girls they say don’t even know they’re victims

On Tuesday morning, Immigration and Customs Enforcement announced in an internal email that it would offer cash bonuses to agents for deporting people quickly, an incentive meant to motivate the staff to speed up President Trump’s mass deportation campaign.
Less than four hours later, the agency abruptly canceled what was supposed to be a 30-day pilot program.
β€œPLEASE DISREGARD,” Liana J. Castano, an official in ICE’s field operations division, said in a follow-up email to agency offices around the country.

🚨WHOA. According to @haleaziz.bsky.social, the Trump admin was actually going to implement the ICE "bounties" it has repeatedly said were false, offering $200 per arrest leading to a rapid deportation β€” and only walked the plan back after the New York Times got a copy of the memo.

The guy who has been anti-vax for two decades without any scientific evidence to back it up, promised to Congress that he wasn’t anti-vax, got confirmed, and then immediately started doing anti-vax things

As end-of-empire scenarios go it is so much more dignified to get your capital city sacked by the Visigoths than to have a bunch of illiterate rich people in their 70s doing it through a series of incomprehensible tantrums because their brains were defeated by their phones.

AI filmmaking and storytelling is punk rock. It’s hip hop. It’s counterculture. It’s a new type of creativity. It’s a new medium. It’s hated by the mainstream film and art establishment. It resists ideology. It ignores gate keeping. It’s uncomfortable. It’s scary. It’s viral. It’s accessible. It’s refreshing. It’s welcoming. It’s here.

AI filmmaking is peeing. It’s pooping. It’s throwing up. It’s a new kind of liquid coming out. It’s hated by the establishment. It’s what goes in the toilet. It’s wet. It’s what’s in the bathroom.

Bill Burr Says β€˜CNN and Fox News Are a Fβ€”ing Disease,’ Fires Back at β€˜Horrible’ Conservatives Bashing Him as β€˜Woke’: β€˜They’re Racists’ and β€˜Cowards’ Bill Burr says the conservatives calling him "woke" are "racists" and "cowards."

You don't need a Joe Rogan for the left. What we all need to do is take Bill Burr's lead. Every time a Republican goes after him, he doesn't debate him. He just insults them and tells them to go fuck themselves. We don't need one person to do this. We should all just do this.

I think about these stories as I read about the various β€œdeals” universities are signing with Trump. These deals do a lot of things but one is precisely try to ensure that these atrocities are allowed to continue by casting all discussion of them as antisemitism. It’s abhorrent.

There wasn’t even a presentation in committee about this. Instead it’s just press releases about how homelessness is being β€œsolved” as residents are being pushed into the margins.

The data is from December 2024-March 2025 and we got it on July 29, 2025? The next report is already due.

i remain convinced that a democratic party that credibly promised to make life hell for all the hucksters, scammers, and grifters who have became so pervasive in everyday life would win by margins we haven't seen in a generation

One thing I keep coming back to about Mamdani is that he rose from basically zero to an astonishing primary victory in just a few months in large part by refusing to nibble around the edges. He articulated a novel, sweeping, broad, positive vision, and just hammered at it. And people LOVED it.

This administration and its supporters have no values, no morals, no principles other than adherence to Trump and seething hatred for anything not-Trump. A despicable pedophilic predator is a hero if not-Trump opposed them. They are less than human.

If Democratic leaders credibly said

β€œWhen we take power back, Elizabeth Fago is going to go to prison for this corruption and bribery, if public reporting is true”

they could MAKE it a story.
