when in reality I think it’s mainly because if he loses Judy, he goes back to his solitary life again.
Maybe after they go to therapy and get the personality and lifestyle clashes smoothened out, they could get together, but not right now I don’t think.
"Don't let it get to ya" as he always says. His general confusion around intimacy just makes me feel so seen, it's not often media gets it so right.

The writers did avoidants so well with Nick. Judy is really his only real friend in his entire life and he doesn't want to lose her. But at the same time he never knew how to express that he cares, except running away or hiding it behind jokes:

The plot was not predictable. All the new lore to the city was so nice.
Like that they didn’t dumb down any characters, the conflicts make sense, the motives make sense.
I like how they did Nick and Judy’s relationship. Imo that is the only way it could work.
Just watched Zootopia 2 I love it sm
