Yes, it is a hard platformer. I found it challenging and rewarding though, as the game is quite fair once you figure out the timing of moves.

My machine is mixed use, but if I were to build a console/htpc I would likely go with something like bazzite.

Ubuntu 24.04. The hardware support so far has been really good. Sleep/ hibernate, Ethernet and wifi all worked out of the box.

My first pass at getting my GPU working on Linux was pretty rough, and I needed to do CMOS reset as I goofed a bios change. The second attempt went much better as read the logs from the first attempt and installed the amdgpu drivers.

Bought a GPU to finish off my desktop build. It has 16GB of vram. I think the last GPU I bought was a Voodoo 2 with 4MB of vram.

Got to visit flowerpot island in Tobermory yesterday. I love how different the Niagara Escarpment is up here compared to Milton.

Upgraded the case fans and CPU cooler on my desktop with silent options from Noctua and the difference from the stock fans is noticeable.

I am very pleased that my monitor which is also my USB hub also can function as KVM for my mouse and keyboard if I put my desktop to sleep before plugging in my work laptop.

TIL that modern desktop CPUs really do need you to plug the dedicated 12V line. Or the system will show CPU light.

With my personal laptop dead, I am going to try and build a small form factor machine. It will be the first desktop I have built in almost 20 years.

Vampire survivors is quite fun. It is interesting that both Balatro, and Vampire Survivors are the same genre.

I finished Neva on the switch last night. I loved the mix of platforming, and combat mechanics. The story was well integrated into the mechanics, and made for gameplay was challenging and rewarding, but not *hard*.
