ive scheduled one new client and its day 4. like its a crisis. i cant work outside of this month due to limits on my income for disability so i can keep my benefit its complicated.

idk if i said since i was on here last but i had to start taking ketamine to survive work i had it prescribed to me so i literally have to get high to make it thru. sometimes even just getting ready i need it, sometimes ive had to take it after to calm down. its so over

so when something went wrong it just overwhelmed my capacity to cope. and now every time i go back im afraid of whats going to happen. i no longer feel like 'ok ill get thru this its just work' its like an unknown and every threat seems so huge

almost certainly one reason for these types of crackdowns in unrelated spaces like literature publishing (not just lobbying from people who dont really get how the harm theyre protesting actually functions) is optics management and guilty conscience

i think theres a real danger with banning subject matter in art and a cruel irony that these things propagate unchecked in actual sx industry environments and the people in charge of payment processors and companies undoubtedly participate on some level. u guys have no idea the jobs of my clients

passerine does not contain any explicit content involving minors but it does contain explicit assauIt and the novel itself is a taxonomical deconstruction of several dangerous pxrn tropes which book platforms moderate outright even if its a serious literary criticism of those things

i do hope that passerine survives mainstream self publishing sincerely , i have put blood sweat and tears into this novel

republishing on ao3, releasing for free on itch .io, and uploading to the internet archive library

after all parts come out, i will remove it from ao3 and publish in pdf and epub on:

- barnes and noble (attempt a physical release thru b&n as well)
- google play books

if for any reason passerine is banned from these platforms (which i have found to be safest for its content) i will fall back on

i will publish passerine in a fairly convoluted way due to platform risk but it will be done in roughly this way:

initially i will serialize it on ao3. i will confirm release date of batch 1 (roughly 1/4 of the novel) in H1 2026, the rest will follow over the next few mos

its in its final form and what needs to happen is filling my outline with the rest of the needed prose and some missing scenes. i have commissioned professional cover art and illustration as well

also my book, passerine, this will be finished this year. i started working on it again bak in july or august, i have reworked it into something im very, very proud of and altho its in patchwork bc i dont work in order it is coming together. im keeping momentum as best i can
