And I say that as someone who enjoyed the potter books when they were being published. There's no point deny they were easy reading and entertaining for kids, whatever their flaws, but Pratchett was objectively a more skilled writer. (And a much kinder human being obviously)

Pratchett is unparalleled as a fantasy writer and as a writer, full stop. It's an absurd injustice that his books, while popular and successful, never got as wide an audience as Potter. They're better written. Even on the youth side, Tiffany Aching is better writing.
