House E&C is marking up a bunch of kids online safety bills today. Some familiar faces, like COPPA 2.0 and KOSA, have been revised. Some interesting design-related bills wrapped up in "Kids Internet and Digital Safety Act" package. Unfort. its combined w/ some serious anti-privacy/censorship bills.

I hate when people argue, I try my damndest to try to prevent arguments.... most of the time I end up saying something that I think will help, but only makes shit worse.....

..... I really wish I could just shut up... I wish I knew how to not talk, I wish my speech impediments never went away....

Then there could be cases where you're given things to shred then you could either hoard and keep safe or shred it because you were asked to do it & get scolded for doing so.

All around an interesting spin on the similar concept.

Though I doubt folks would be interested in playing such a game.

Much like papers please where you have to go through all the identification making sure that you don't shred something that has someone's name on it or to make sure you shred something if you see someone's name if you find money not to shred that, and so on.

The other day I was at my dad's office and I was shredding really old paper and it got me thinking of a game idea based on papers please.

Basically you work at an office and your job is to shred documents you have to make sure you don't shred important documents, but do shred bad documents.

I attribute ALL of that to the 1st game & inside jokes I had with friends who introduced the series to me in discord calls. Each game after the first didn't have the same passion or joy to it for me. The quality of life stuff was great, jokes were funny, but the story otherwise was... losing me.

I will thank the first Layton for inspiring me to keep streaming even as no one was watching at first, it inspired me to try and make a Vtuber model, it inspired many of my emotes. It let me do stupid voices as I played and do puzzles that made me feel smart, or like an idiot.

I do want to add, THIS is positive sign! While postponing & not fully canceling isn't perfect, it does show that they are feeling the heat from loss of profit! If people leave discord, and/or everyone keeps canceling their Nitro then they either have to course correct & cancel fully or go under.

For specific details The ID verification is postponed to the SECOND HALF of 2016... so... in 3-10 months from now.

For countries/states creating Laws its being applied in those areas, BUT in 3-10 months They will ship out the IDscan to EVERYONE!

SO If you don't want that KEEP CANCELING your NITRO!

Summary: "We are postponing, but slowly outputting the ID scan so we hope you forget & resub with Nitro when we sneak it in!"

I remember the silly theories for things like "can the hookshot work?" Or with trailers for games "will you use the master sword to travel to the sky and back in skyward sword?"

Or the theories for shows designed around it like Gravity Falls, but I feel like the theory crafting has gone too deep.

On the other note to that, SOME of these scammers cast a large net they have 100s of alts, but they also use multiple social media per "persona". I imagine its to make them look more legit. People may call a scammer out on one social media, while scamming scott free on another. Its worth checking!
