Big Tech wins out over children's safety.
The neck of the government is unreal.
This was literally amended out of the government's 'excuse' because of Big Tech lobbying!
They're engaged in doublespeak in front of our eyes, trying to tell us they're 'dealing' with this.
They're not!

Despite the hot air from government about protecting children, they've voted down our Bill to turn off the toxic algorithms.
These algorithms push toxic content promoting eating disorders, self harm, misogyny and hate.
Big Tech profits should not come before children's health.

Costa Rica gets back to nature after decades of deforestation
Paying farmers to swap cattle for conservation has helped sway the balance in biodiversity’s favour
"Ireland’s staggering lack of national ambition on nature, #climate is in marked contrast to Costa Rica, which despite having a fraction of our wealth, has been able to meet fundamental needs of its citizens while respecting nature."

I'm a palestinian with the right to a homeland & self determination not because my ancestors crawled out of the sea in ancient times onto the beach in yaffa as fully formed Palestinians.
I have a right to a homeland and self determination because i'm a human being.

Israel struck a hotel in Hazmieh, where most of my family lives (everyone’s okay)
No idea about casualties yet.
They also killed at least 6 ppl in Aramoun and Saadiyat.
None of these 3 are ‘Hezbollah strongholds’ as media outlets like to call them

Monaghan Council launches major rewilding project at historic Elliott’s Farm
The project will be formally launched on Wednesday, March 4 at 11am, with a public hedge‑planting demonstration planned for attendees.
Monaghan County Council’s use of public land as the centre of a community‑led meadow restoration project is exactly the kind of initiative that should be rolled out across the country through Ireland’s Nature Restoration Plan.

So, the president of European Commission, supposedly speaking on behalf of EU, hasn’t a single word of criticism for illegal US/Israeli attack on Iran, instead blaming Iran for trying to defend itself.
The same VDL cowardice we saw in #Gaza.
Small wonder the US treats Europe like a bad joke.

To make a statement about the illegal bombing of Iran by the US and Israel without mentioning that fact is tantamount to condoning it.

Headlines moved on quickly from the schoolgirls in Minab. We don’t know their names; no media profiles about their lives and aspirations. No smiling photos attached to quotes from mourning families.
How unfair that some dead are memorialised while others are relegated to ‘estimated casualties.’

Thanks for sharing. This is great news and would bring Ireland in line with almost all other EU countries. We have taken our medium sized dog on public transport in UK, France and Netherlands. When we moved back to Ireland, we couldn't believe this was not possible and we'd need a car to travel..

Imagine playing sports with any other country engaged in mass ethnic cleansing, apartheid, and genocide?
It stopped with apartheid South Africa, which wasn't even as bad.

Another weekend of carnage on Irish roads. 7 killed including a child out walking her dog in a hit and run at a ped crossing. The Irish government could take meaningful action to do something about it but would rather victim blame people for not wearing hi viz. It is so predictable and depressing.
