The refusal to address the US public live, much less take questions, is very strange.

The claim Trump “wanted the comments from Saturday to soak in” is ludicrous.

But it’s not just Trump. It’s also the rest of his immediate advisors who are hiding from public accountability.

Trump both announced that the United States was going to war with Iran and then later discussed the first deaths of US service members in that war via videos recorded at his Florida resort.

Astonishingly disrespectful of the stakes and impact. I don’t think it will go over well with most Americans.
