Orange teeth?! Yes, porcupines like Ozzy have orange or reddish smiles because their teeth are coated by iron-rich enamel, not white enamel like humans. A porcupine’s front teeth also continuously grow, only naturally worn down by gnawing.

Giant anteaters, like Zoo Boise's couple, are able to flick their two-foot-long tongues in and out 150 times per minute.

The cleanest coat! Spotted-necked otters, like Harry, keep their dense hair in tip-top condition at all times. It's so thick because otters use their fur as insulation to trap in heat and stay warm.

Our prehensile-tailed porcupine celebrated with a special cake this weekend. It was made with items from his normal diet and topped with yams, peppers, spinach, peanut butter, and popcorn.

🐸 Don’t let the name fool you: the Amazon milk frog doesn’t make milk; it produces a protective secretion that is toxic to predators.

Settling into the renovated Small Animal Kingdom's Rainforest Building, Ozzy likes to nimbly climb and flip around his habitat’s canopy.
