We have over 100 students commencing their #Erasmus+ placements in various countries abroad at the moment. The students have embarked on a 3 week paid placement, specific to their vocational area.

Nursing Studies and Occupational Therapy Assistant students in our Westport Campus busy preparing skills with Course Co-ordinator and Nurse, Angela Horan. The class were busy this week preparing for a range of skills in preparation for work placement.

Our talented Music students will once again host their monthly Open Mic in the Canteen of ATU, Castlebar on next Thurs Nov 27th from 1-2PM. All support and encouragement would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks to The Movement who recently hosted our Sports students (Castlebar campus) for an insightful session on mat-based and Reformer Pilates!

. . . gardens via the walled garden, then onto the new polytunnels and the newly planted orchard. The group also got to see the last remaining apple tree planted by the Guinness family when they were in residence! Huge thanks to Ashford Castle's head gardener Alex Lavarde for his time and expertise.

Our Horticulture and Ecology students (Westport campus) availed of a the full tour of #AshfordCastle's sustainably managed gardens earlier this week, with their teacher, Caithriona McCarthy. The tour started at the polytunnels near The Lodge, from there they made their way to the production . . .

Our Applied #Ecology class (Westport campus) had a fantastic field trip to @achilloutdoor recently. A massive thank you to all the team for lending their expertise discussing the incredible work they are doing with water systems, conservation and promoting biodiversity!
