Through his research and writings, Shoup argued for the implementation of a parking model wherein revenue from metered curb parking is used to subsidize public services. He also advocated for the removal of off-street parking requirements.

Donald Shoup was a beloved member of UCLA's Urban Planning Department and the community at large. His legacy will be carried on through the new parking policy center. Consider checking out this wonderful opportunity!
