Recently my Bluesky messages stopped working. I can still make posts and comments, but I can’t open messages—it asks for age verification, and even after resetting, it doesn’t work. Now it’s even asking me to take a face recognition photo. Is this some kind of spam? It’s scary 😱

Hello! My yokai book is almost finalized and I remade the Nuppeppō for book. I tried using a new squishy material for texture, but it didn’t work well with an armature. The flocking powder made it look messy, but luckily I managed to take good photos before coating, so those will go in the book.

If you need to reach me, please send me a message on Instagram or X,please.🙏I just checked Facebook, but the U.S. customs regulations seem really strict. I’m also starting to worry whether the shipping costs will be enough when I send things out to everyone.

I’m amazed myself at the sheer number of yokai as I work on the layout 🤣

Yes, the Jiraiya novel was written for kabuki, but the character first appeared in the play Tenjiku Tokubei Ikokubanashi. His appearance in the novel was based on that play, which is why they look so similar.

Hyakki Yagyō is this old Japanese idea of a bunch of yokai and demons marching through the night. The name literally means “Night Parade of One Hundred Demons,” but it doesn’t actually mean there are exactly 100 of them — it’s more like saying “a whole bunch,” so there could be way more than that.🤣

Not all of them🤣🤣🤣 But I’ve made quite a lot.

This is actually a model of Hokusai’s kappa design, not mine! However I really love this version and it is quite different from other designs which is nice!
