And here in CA we have someone trying to make it even harder to get an ebike.

The best bike plan starts with a better car plan.

Dutch cities don’t just graft bike lanes onto busy streets. They practice β€œontvlechten”—untangling cycling and driving at a structural level by restricting car speed, volume, and access.

Fewer conflicts. Calmer streets. Networks that actually work.

On the plus side, the Supreme Court did something good for the American people.

Ok the downside it might give Republican incumbents a little economic boost to keep their seats.

I’m always in favor of helping people, it should never be a partisan issue.

Lmao. You can literally only park one bike on those.

Bad drivers have skated by for so long on the general good will of most people.

Were they to feel the shear unreserved wrath that boils under the surface of those they almost kill on a daily basis… it would be a blood bath.

LaneSaber, and add something that cuts the tires of cars that pass too close.

The tires on that car seem so full of air.

It’s amazing that people still say this. More room for cars means less room for people. It’s as simple as that.

We gutted American cities to make room for cars in the 1950’s, which of course destroyed neighborhoods and hurt local business.

The cities recovering are the ones that are fixing that.

George Lucas got $4 billion as tribute to keep him from destroying the franchise with more of those prequels…only to watch JJ Abrams do it.

IV was the first.

IX was a hot mess, I’m only surprised that Vader didn’t return in it.

I don’t get it. It’s not like it’s β€œnew” knowledge that alcohol is bad for you. This is known fact. What I don’t get is what about today is causing the massive decrease in consumption?

Follow up question, and why is that a good health choice but the measles vaccine is not?

Make it make sense.

What kind of Democratic candidate would you prefer?

A candidate who identifies as
progressive or a candidate who
identifies as moderate?

Everyone raises their hand for A progressive candidate.

A progressive candidate is a clear path to victory for the Democrats. We want someone who will fight for us as strong as Trump is fighting against us.

Let’s put it this way, I know for certain that some large companies have lost control of PII with SSNs in the past. So my question is if this is worse than those past exposures. It’s definitely on a much larger scale, that’s for sure.

18.02.2026 16:47 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

β€œUnlike a credit card number, you can’t simply get a new Social Security number. The entire system might need rebuilding from scratch.”

Honestly, the SSN is outdated and not a reliably safe number in the first place. You’ve already been forced to give it to less secure entities in the past.

The KSIs mount in New Jersey...
This year to date; 53 dead including 19 pedestrians, not one killed hit by or riding an eBike.
Every single one killed either in or by a car.

Are you sure eBikes are the problem?

I can’t avoid the feeling that the US auto manufacturers are missing the fact that people prefer EVs. The cost might be high, but EVs are so much nicer to drive, and have ridiculously low maintenance.

This ship has sailed. If the don’t compete, the inevitability will die.

If you going to do amendments, seems tough, but, codify the size of the Supreme Court at 12. Create term limits of 20 years. Make all new appointments rotate across presidencies so that each President can appoint 1 justice per term.

Say NO to Mandatory E-Bike License Plates and Registrations - Bike East Bay Tell the state legislature that increased regulation on legal e-bikes is counter-productive to traffic safety, sustainability, and equity goals.

Today East Bay Assemblymember Bauer-Kahan introduced the "E-Bike Accountability Act", proposing mandatory registrations & license plates for all Class 2 & 3 e-bikes.
