Infini, a Hong Kong-based #stablecoin neobank and payments platform was hacked for about $49M in #USDC on Monday.

Blockchain security analyst Cyvers said the attack emanated from compromised administrative privileges on a smart contract.

#Bybit announced a $140M recovery bounty program to "hunt for the perpetrators of crypto's largest heist in history."

A tech expert reportedly took a flight to Dubai to assist Bybit's team in investigating the hack. "Just like him, many of our partners stepped up, proving that when the #crypto industry is challenged, we come together to fight for it," Helen Liu, Bybit COO.

"I didn't get any sleep but actually looks not too bad. I guess I was too focused commanding all the meetings. Forgot to stress...I think it will come soon when I come to grab the concept of losing $1.5 billion," Zhou said on Saturday, Feb. 22.

#Bybit CEO, Ben Zhou, confirmed that the exchange saw the highest number of withdrawals in history 10 hours into the hack.

According to the CEO,users submitted over 350K withdrawal requests. "Although we've been hit by the worst hack possibly, all Bybit functions remain functional," Zhou stated.

According to Arkham Intelligence, $200M worth of stETH has already been sold.

This seems unusual.

Seems like #Bybit official #crypto hot wallet was hacked earlier today.

On Feb. 21, Whale Alert flagged a suspicious transaction, which included a multi-sign that withdrew 401,346 ETH (Nearly $1.5B) from Bybit's wallet to a new address.

The ETH is currently being sold.
