Safety is not from soldiers on corners or armored trucks patrolling streets. It comes from neighbors who feel seen, heard, & valued. If we can spend $1 million a day to intimidate, we can spend $1 million a year to inspire, employ, and empower. That’s what democracy looks like.

Trump could invest $1 million a year to rebuild. The million could instead be used to recruit, train, & hire local police for the community they protect. Hire mental health liaisons & social workers who can intervene. Have substations & beat cops who will build trust & strengthen bonds not by fear.

Trump’s sending troops & federal forces into what he calls “war-ravaged” & “crime-infested” cities isn’t about safety; it’s about control & political theater. Sending military power against Americans costs $1 million a day & does nothing to address roots of crime or restore hope in derelict areas.

My opinion is that we have a Republican Party in Congress that is a (GOPPP) Grand Old Party Protecting Predophiles!

Cities need to recruit, train, & hire police officers, mental-health link & social workers who handle crises before violence. Make substations/beat cop programs, & officers who walk streets, build relationships, & earn trust. Safety comes when one feels seen, heard, & protected, not from occupation.
