Last night's Aurora was not the best I have seen, but managed to get a few long-exposure pictures. More impressive was what it was doing to low band radio propagation, like the AM broadcast band. #hamradio

With any luck the increased viewership of this piece will make Doug Ford's point even stronger. Anyone who understands the context of 1987 can reach no other conclusion than tariffs are damaging to the home side - especially when the claimed gain is a lie in the first place.

In addition to traveling to NB to view the 8 April 2024 eclipse personally, I also made a complete spectrum recording of the MW broadcast band from my home station and shared it with the HamSCI research project. Some of this has now been posted!

Yesterday I was privileged to operate the special events station PX100IARU here at the Region 2 General Assembly in Salvador, Brazil. The most fun contact was with VY2PC back home on PEI, during a 10 Meter SSB opening. Then the crew took me and Rod Stafford W6ROD out for some lunch! #hamradio #IARU

The IARU General Assembly is under way, and we're already into some interesting discussions on spectrum defence, common interests, and forging good relationships.
