There's one huge difference between the 2025 Portland protests & the ones in 2020. Today, the ~100 anti-fascist protesters at the ICE facility are sandwiched between the feds who have MAGA-friendly media embedded w/ them, and ~15 MAGA-friendly content creators/counter-protesters out in the crowd.

Pay attention to the cartoonists, they are doing the job that the media is not.

Semi-regular reminder that a sane country would have already impeached and removed. But then again a sane country wouldn’t have elected a maniac criminal twice in the first place.

They All Signed the “Harper’s” Letter. Where Are They Now? Many of those who were loudest in denouncing cancel culture then are now curiously silent in the face of Donald Trump’s assaults on free speech.

“For the large majority [of the Harper’s Letter signatories,] Trump’s reign of terror has apparently been less objectionable than the irritating undergraduate and entry-level scolds of the 2010s.”

It was very telling that for three days, none of the major TV anchors would have me on air one-on-one to talk about my firing from the Washington Post over Charlie Kirk.

The free speech activist who built a list of professors he worked to get fired for their speech must be celebrated for his support of free speech, and anyone who quotes his speech accurately in context will be fired and/or face state punishment by the champions of free speech, do I have that right?

I would very much like to ban the words "controversial" and "provocative" in political coverage at a whole range of big-time publications. Weasel words. Cover for not just the accurate words they refuse to use, but indicative of the accurate/factual assessments they staunchly refuse to make.
