This image captures the stage of a theater during a performance, likely a musical. The stage is brightly lit, and a large sign in the background displays the word "FOLLIES" in white capital letters.
On the stage, there are many performers in various costumes, some standing and some bowing, suggesting the end of a show. The audience is visible in the foreground, with the backs of their heads silhouetted against the light from the stage. The photo appears to have been taken from a balcony or an upper-level seat, providing a wide view of the entire stage and some of the audience. The theater itself has ornate, classic architecture, with gilded details on the balconies and proscenium arch.
Possibly one of the best productions I have ever seen. Congratulations to NI Opera in a fantastic show. The costumes, lighting, choreo, the vocal talent - all sublime.
