I’m glad it looks cool! Yeahhh, a personal spec evo project to explore alien body plans I otherwise wouldn’t get to draw! I may not have an organized presentation at this stage, but I’m fine with just establishing & posting the designs with some explanations to start.

The feather-bangs on the draft bird, oml, I must pet… (even if it’s the last thing I do. Hopefully they are gentle giants when not working like some horses are)

It is indeed more challenging to make creatures all adhere to a consistent body plan while still showing reasonable variation… I have been trying it myself lately, so I respect this aspect of your work!

The incinerator sparked and fumed as it digested more debris, ravenous for another bite provided by an ever-feeding proboscis. Sometimes metal, often-times loose soil, and, on occasion, those long (or freshly) dead on the battlefield. At this juncture, nobody knows what the original purpose is behind these stalking, janitorial maws. Just that they're ever-starving, ever-seeking, and must be evaded whenever possible.

Damn, I love this drawing and the concept behind it. A monstrous mecha-proboscidean is such an epic idea and you did it justice!

More variations, specializations, and explanations of this body plan will be shared down the road. They’ve been conceptualized and mostly drawn, just need some finalizations.

After months of iterating, I finally feel committed to this body plan. They changed from weird “trident” hexapods, then to pentapods, then finally to tripods. While challenging, I’m glad I pursued a limb count less than 4– it lead to designs that feel much more “my own”.

Still a WIP, but I’m now happier with the body plan of these alien creatures. They are native to Ona, a fictional planet I introduced in a post a few months back.

I was almost in tears while at work today (it’s been a week), then an elderly patient called and talked to me over the phone about random things for like 20 minutes lol.

Normally problematic, but it saved me today by resetting my brain. Thank you, random old guy ✨🫶

I love oven-baked. With some breadcrumbs and extra seasonings like parsley on top! Fresh out of the oven is best, of course.

This is a Border terrier, a small tannish dog with a large head, strong chest, and straight tail. It has wiry fur and a dark beard on its face. Its ears are half-flopped over.

This is a bull terrier. It is an all-white dog with an egg-shaped head, stocky body, and a long thin tail. Its fur is very short, and it has small eyes.

This is an Airedale terrier. It is a tall dog with wiry fur in blacks and browns. It has half-floppy ears and a short curled tail. It has longer fur on the legs and face.

A scene in which a highly reflective, glowing capsule-shaped spacecraft is spotted from a larger space station in space. There are no stars visible due to the way the “camera” would be exposed. The main subject in question - a non-humanoid alien dragon wearing a spacesuit, holds on to a support bar with some tethering back to the main station.

A set of alien ruins located on a frozen world (the "most distant" planet located in the Sol system), with building structures being laid with frozen ice, some of it has also collapsed due to accumulated permafrost and ice over the years. There's liquid on the surface of this world, but it is not water but something similar to liquid methane (sort of like the one in Titan). Despite it being in daylight, the sun is distant (yet visible) enough that it does not receive the light that the atmosphere receives that it is perceived as part of an eternal night, surrounded by clouds. Almost blocking it is the planet's largest moon.

An upright sophont gorgonopsian (or gorgonopsid; a synapsid/mammal-like reptile with saber teeth) with a headphone and microphone speaks in a lecture demonstrating ecological collapse in Permian Earth (shown with the continent of Pangea) from their own causes, which is projected at the back of the large lecture room of a theatre.

An image in which a blue orb resembling a pulsar star rips through the image and segmenting it into a cross-section of four separate scenes. The scene depicts three different aliens going through the same experience - of the Founders’ remnants (an ancient race of extinct aliens older than them)

Today is my birthday.

I've seen some of these posts that ask people to share some of their work around their birthdays and I thought of just doing the same since I don't have much to do on this platform atm.

That’s awful behavior… I can relate to feeling insecure about my artwork sometimes, but if I come across someone younger and more skilled than me, it’s best to just compliment their work and move on lol. Comparison is the thief of joy anyway.
