Autumn 🍂

A painting of 2 Vaquitas swimming underwater among some corals and underwater plant life. This painting was made for Save the Vaquita Week 2025 in hopes of raising funds and awareness to help the vaquita come back from possible extinction. Save the Vaquita Postcard Print is a limited run of 100 signed 5x7 inch postcard prints, on premium cardstock, and will be signed and numbered on the back. This hand painted original postcard print is a little token and a reminder that you made a difference in helping the Vaquita. All funds will be donated directly to porpoise.org for Save the Vaquita Week!

Progura campestris, a large pleistocene megapode bird calls to intimidate a dark grey and white striped varanid who is approaching where she has just buried her eggs. The ground is orange and there are some flowering bushes visible.

Another from early last year of Progura campestris, a pleistocene megapode bird, encountering a monitor lizard. This one was inspired by getting called at by a malleefowl when I accidentally got too close to its nest 😅. #paleoart #palaeoart

You spot a dark show hidden in the canopy, it's clutched to the tree hidden by foliage. Your torch in one hand, camera in the other you zoom in to identify the creature. It's eyes shine a bright purple as you light up it's face, then you see the blood..

Everything that happens afterwards - whether to you or to your art or to society - flows directly from that initial act. You job is to make the art. That’s what artists do.

Idk if crop will kill this, but anyway… I like this passage by Ted Orland.
