We find out at the end that she needs to accept she's her own person, but then why doesnt she remember what she did to that cop? Mary Shelley's line right before it makes it seem like a major character turning point but then why would she forget it.

The main problem is that the drama is kind of vaguely drawn and thus isn't able to take the wheel from the exhilarating stylistic maximalism stuff in the first half. Does the Bride have Memento syndrome? Why didn't she remember killing that cop? What is she working towards by the end.
