Have you tried the stretchy knit flats? I have some nerve damage in one foot and have a hard time keeping flats on but the stretch knit ones hold tight enough while still being comfortable. They have styles from ballet flat style to more loafer style.

tour covering Iceland and Shetland and just immersing myself in all of the tradition and wool. There’s a yarn shop, The Woolly Thistle that specializes in a lot of English, Scots, Icelandic, and other European yarns. I buy a lot of my yarn from them and live vicariously through their stories.

I’ve always been a bit of an Anglophile (is there a term that encompasses all of the UK?) and love shows set there. I just started watching Shetland on Britbox and have already spotted a few traditional knits.

The poor server, working on her birthday, dumped a tray of drinks next to our table. Filled my right shoe with ice water and I felt really bad for her. She -and all of the other servers there-work their butts off.
