i find the american brand of religion is more about the puritanism than the literal words- it will bend and break them in order to recreate apocalypse scenarios or deny basic empathy or pleasures. Its just kind of there to assert "a god of order" above all things to force thigns to make sense

Everyone wants to be in complete control, but never subject to each others will. Always in the position to enforce discipline but never be subjected to those same principals. It would be nice to be able to check out mentally, but once you see it, you basically cant unsee it.

Im so tired of the completely unserious situation we find ourselves in. In almost every walk of life, we are just coping as humans, disconnected from our own observable reality. Everything feels like a cartel running marketing campaigns for itself, always masking some malformed desire in themselves

Noone an earth wants to go against the economic powers of the west, much less the central power of the usa, because they know there is no line they wouldnt cross. The irony is that if they did, america wouldnt be able to produce enough to sustain these efforts very long.

I had to look up the timing, but I was lucky enough to work on Marathon for a bit over 2 and half years. From the early stages to when things really started clicking. Seriously an incredible and tight knit concept team and amazing world art team. Just some of the kindest and most talented folks.

There was a number of posts from about 2014 where a challenge people had would be to make a shaperhen fit figures inside that abstract shape- i feel like that helped this kind of compositional thinking quite a bit ! Im glad you got to see this and bsky didnt kill me haha

budget for resident evil requiem being 60 million or so makes sense of its quality level. i occaisionally feel off about some projects but then must immediately remember the cost and quality are actually directly tied, budget being the most important thing next to labor and experience
