The Two Minutes Hate Some thoughts on what pile-ons are doing to our brains, because ouch. Also: everything objectively insane about Kash Patel’s “challenge coin”; and meet “ratzilla”.

"We’ve talked a lot about how X will bring about the end of the world, and it might. I just worry we should talk more about the way the internet is systematically stripping us of our capacity to feel empathy, too."

Written about how we all need to be nicer to each other (especially me)

Yep, take away the Refuk worshippers & you will hear the apathetic drone'all politicians are the same'. This is demonstrably untrue but it's the most popular 'thought'* next to 'immigrants are to blame for everything'.

*I use that word loosely.

Not having a go at this, as the rise of racism and the far right around east Liverpool is a huge problem….but the opposition in Knowsley is the Green Party, and their rise in one of the most deprived bits of the country is a genuinely untold story. Work needs doing in this!

For there to be no comment from the government on Musk's call for violence, let alone action against X, is unconscionable. An utter dereliction of its responsibility for national security and an affront to every member of an ethnic minority, who is being put at risk by this rhetoric.

Photos of Yaxley Lennon/Robinson and Musk talking on video link and a bloodied protester.

…murdered in cold blood this week and people on the left celebrating it openly.
"The left is the party of murder and celebrating murder. I mean, let that sink in for a minute, that's who we're dealing with here."
He said that the British public were
"scared to exercise their [right to] free speech" and claimed the BBC was "com-plicit in the destruction of Britain".
When they finished their conversa-tion, Robinson said: "Not only are we in the fight right now, but we're on advance thanks to free speech being fought for, for us, by Elon Musk."
By about 4pm riot police, backed by mounted patrols and dog units, were struggling to protect a group of masked antifascists hemmed in at the top of Whitehall. Missiles and flares were thrown by Robinson supporters, with some hitting officers.
Many chanted
abuse at the police, mocked officers and spat at them.
The Met said on X: "Officers are having to intervene in multiple locations to stop Unite the Kingdom protesters trying to access sterile areas, breach police cordons or get to opposing groups. A number of officers have been assaulted."
It later added: "The turnout for the Unite the Kingdom protest was too big to fit into Whitehall. Protesters left the route on to Victoria Embankment and sought to access Whitehall from multiple directions ... When officers moved in to stop them, they faced unacceptable violence.
They were assaulted with kicks and punches. Bottles, flares and other projectiles were thrown."
More than
1,600
officers
were
deployed to deal with the demonstrations as well as several football fixtures in the capital. At least 500 police had been drafted in from forces outside London, including the Merseyside, Humberside

Musk, Tommy Robinson - fascist Britain. A hellpit of violence and racism. They’re using our flag as their rallying cry. And X as their megaphone.
No more appeasement.
No more ‘legitimate concerns’ horseshit.
It’s beyond time to sanction Musk, regulate X and shut these fuckers down.

Chinese firm a leading contender to buy Thames Water.

90% of water already owned from abroad. Shareholders out of touch with realities.

Tax on dividends dodged.

Any private ownership will mean continuation of profits, dividends, neglect, fleecing.

Public ownership is the only way forward.

Our disabled son has CP and bladder spasms so urologist is recommending Botox treatments and we read your article and are concerned about the presence of mRNA in the Botox.

Is mRNA in all brands?
How can we know if it is in there?
Is there a safe brand you recommend?

He has to have this so what do we do?

Thanks

my reply:

personally, i'd recommend you follow the advice of your doctor. but what do i know, i'm just a random person you emailed. I have no more formal education around botox than the author Naomi Wolf, whose advice I assume you were actually seeking. but since you emailed me, my suggestion is that you listen to your kid's urologist, who is a trained medical professional, rather than seeking out medical advice from someone with an english degree and a history of making significant errors in her research.

best of luck!

Most Lib Dem voters are white and rural, so they could get away with more of the rhetoric Labour is currently using, yet they choose to stick to their principles.

Labour voters are more diverse, yet they're choosing to use some... questionable rhetoric, putting their core voter base at risk.

Scapegoating migrants won’t fix Britain’s welfare system When it comes to Universal Credit, there is no foreign invasion - just ordinary people, overwhelmingly British, struggling to get by.
