The NT is not a contemporaneous source nor is it accurate. Paul’s writings reflect multiple errors about what is in the Torah, about what the commandments say, about sin and redemption. They show a man educated in Greek rhetoric with little to no influence of Hebrew language and Jewish customs.

I am a Jew. I do not believe in a messiah. The Torah never says that without blood there no forgiveness of sin. Sin and atonement are achieved in a variety of ways. Sacrifice/blood is only available for certain sins and is only one method for those sins.

Well, of course, the 613 conmandments were given by God only to Jews. Gentiles like you were never responsible for them. But insulting God’s word at Sinai just because the word wasn’t directed at you seems a bit silly. The commandments are our treasure, not yours, but still wondrous.

Yah, no it doesn’t. What is shows is a typical style of studying the commandments that is still done today: Debate, probing, what-ifs, challenging questions. They weren’t opponents - they were study partners.
