Maybe contact radiator manufacturers, work with them on a smart radiator design where sensors are more concealed and get a royalties on sales 🤞💚 + a heat loss based thermostat and then each room maintains perfect temperature 🥳

That's what I said indeed! 💚 Which one is it? It's both! 🥰 Any system can be improved! We can make many existing (modern) boilers more efficient while we transition to cleaner energy, and there are still more efficiencies to be unlocked with newer technologies too💚

My boiler heats my home at lower flow temperatures than that of a typical heat pump 💚

We never had incentives to make thermostat controllers better, they are good enough. Heat pumps though more efficient, suffer from the same poor thermostat controls that modern boilers use. And because they are clearly already efficient, there are no incentives to make controllers better.💚

They are reasonable. For majority of modern gas condensing boilers, they perform poorly, due to poor thermostat controls. Manufactures data specs use 40-50 degrees for mean water temperature but would NOT have used controllers that make their operations efficient during their lab tests.

All other points are sound 💚 heat pumps are great overall, we just need lower electricity prices 💚

I fact checked the fact-check number 7. „Operating Heat Pumps is more Expensive than Gas Systems - The opposite is true“.
The statement “The opposite is true” is false. See below real world data, not just theoretical data spec from manufacturers.
Instead - it depends 💚

SAT thermostat controller pushes the boundaries of physics. Overnight room temperature precision range of 0.06 degrees unfiltered or 0.026 degrees filtered 💚 @janrosenow.bsky.social @openenergymon.bsky.social Heat pumps can unlock this efficiency too! 💚

Two findings:
1. It identifies the most likely target room temperature (identified mine at 20.5) 🎉 - see the blue arrows
2. Heat pumps can unlock 30% comfort improvements with the right thermostat controller 💚

Small but important tweak to the comfort comparison graph. To derive the overall mean for each system it now only uses room temperature data from the heating season, and only when the outside temperature is 10°C or below, which is when the heating is very likely to be on 💚

Gas prices have been lower this season and the trend is clearly downwards. This isn’t great news for transitioning to cleaner energy 💚
