Perhaps, after Lineage of Logic is finished. I'm unsure of the best way to reduce difficulty without trivializing the logic or completely overhauling the design... but it is still in my mind. I'm sorry for leaving you hanging.

Unfortunately, there is a bug in SudokuPad which causes the screen to flash whenever the rules panel is updated. Sorry about that.

My only regret with Sudokuvania is how unwelcoming it is to newcomers; I did not expect it to find an audience who were coming from a non-sudoku background.

That's why the sequel will have a gentler learning curve and ways for the player to adjust the difficulty. (Not easy, but not as brutal.)

I think you may be responsible for most people hearing about it in the first place. I am deeply grateful for the review you wrote back in April! 💜

I suppose this makes a good occasion to announce the sequel. Sudokuvania: Lineage of Logic will arrive next spring (still on SudokuPad) with a bigger map, more puzzles, optional enemies/unlockable clues, and better "graphics".
In the meantime, more of you should work on finding the secret ending...

It's hard to believe that my big sudoku is mentioned in the same article as the likes of Blue Prince (which will have my vote for Game of the Year).
