you can throw this over you/pets & it will help protect from sparks/embers. Get out EARLY. Know ALL Exit points locally and elsewhere. Print paper maps or use maps marking where fires are- don't rely on technology or the authorities . Lastly, be kind, check on elderly neighbours. Help others. Xx

Thoughts are with everyone in LA, especially as i live in a fire prone area. Have your go-box ready- everything charged, all important documents , cash, spare pet leads & pet food/water bowls, bottled water, masks if you have them, googles or wrap around sunnies. Grab pure wool blankets/clothes too-

Freelancing on holidays consists of moving: from the table so everyone can have their new years day lunch, to the room upstairs which i then have to vacate for the baby's nap, to the cold stairwell that I then have to jump up and down from each time someone wants to alight the stairs.
