I built a theme like this but for Boros with Joshua, Phoenix’s Dominant. The goal is to cycle creatures in snd out of the graveyard, exploding as they change zones. moxfield.com/decks/xooOXl...

No problem! Toughness is tough because unlike other games toughness isn’t a heath pool, it’s more like a damage target. 🎯 you must assign this much damage to kill this, but damage doesn’t remove toughness. Think of me when you need assistance!

It survives. Lethal damage cannot kill an indestructible creature. It’s a 4/4 creature with -3/-3 making it a 1/1 with one damage marked on it!

I know it says draw three cards. I know it’s in red and that’s a crazy rate. It is never happening. But if you wanna watch three players debate who’s gonna take the 5 damage, it’s kind of a fun social experiment. Just know you are adding it for the mini game. #mtg

It does sort of feel like a lightning strike experience here cause it just hit right in the correct window. It certainly is speaking to a lot of folks experience or for detractors, is a thing to be upset at. It is unfortunate how effective the algorithm is at spreading “controversy” over content

This week is about one of my favorite sets, Judgement. A bizarre set with more Green and White cards.

This card gets better every year. Auras have become powerful and now sky’s the limit. Voltron should consider this as a way to rebuild after a wipe! #mtg

Shapesharer {1}{U} Creature — Shapeshifter Changeling (This card is every creature type.) {2}{U}: Target Shapeshifter becomes a copy of target creature until your next turn. One good mimic deserves another.

This card is deceptively simple, but has so much depth. On the surface it’s a temporary clone, possible best in Kindred decks, but you can also change ANY shapeshifter making any shapeshifter/Changeling, into anything. For you, all forms are temporary. #mtg

Woodland Guidance {3}{G} Sorcery Return target card from your graveyard to your hand. Clash with an opponent. If you win, untap all Forests you control. (Each clashing player reveals the top card of their library, then puts that card on their choice of the top or bottom. A player wins if their card had a greater mana value.) Exile Woodland Guidance.

I know it’s well past day now! This card was really improved by how many things are Forests 🌳 and of course Yavimaya. With a high mana value deck you can bring something back and then clash to untap to cast it this turn! Talk about verdant tech! #mtg

Hostility {3}{R}{R}{R} Creature — Elemental Incarnation Haste If a spell you control would deal damage to an opponent, prevent that damage. Create a 3/1 red Elemental Shaman creature token with haste for each 1 damage prevented this way. Incarnation is my favorite creature type and the “concept elementals” are the best part of Lorwyn. Hostility is fascinating because it effectively triples spell damage. With actual multipliers the values explode. A true hostile attitude. #mtg

I generally am either gonna go around, trying to build my own more threatening board state, or sending creatures that are not quite worth blocking. A 2/2 with a dies trigger is often not worth blocking. Or you know, first strike.

This enchantment ensures your disruption and value generated on other players turns whittles away their life totals. Saving your spells till the last moment can easily eat 3-5 life from each opponent. Just make sure your machinations aren’t disrupted! #mtg

With the announcements from Lorwyn Eclipsed I thought we would enjoy a trip reviewing some unsung cards from Lorwyn.

This enchantment is great for high mana value commanders or decks built to ramp as the biggest threat can’t be targeted or blocked! #mtg

Yeah I think it’s complicated and I’m not a lawyer so I’ll stop speculation. I suppose it’s possible, but not now lol

I think it depends on a bunch of stuff, but my understanding is that you can’t license to multiple people on the same angle simultaneously? Or it’s frowned upon? Which is why we got Through the Omen Paths?

The somewhat successful existing Star Wars card game makes this unlikely.

Coiling Rebirth {3}{B}{B} Sorcery Gift a card (You may promise an opponent a gift as you cast this spell. If you do, they draw a card before its other effects.) Return target creature card from your graveyard to the battlefield. Then if the gift was promised and that creature isn’t legendary, create a token that’s a copy of that creature, except it’s 1/1. Magic Card of the Day: Coiling Rebirth

The flavor on this card is incredible, marrying two of the mechanics of Bloomburrow (gift and offspring) to make an effective reanimation spell that lets you trigger effects twice. A 1/1 Titan still triggers even if he’s a little small. #mtg

Magic Card of the Day: Blade of Shared Souls

While this blade isn’t great for enters abilities it is really above rate to make copies. With the number of static, triggered, and activated abilities it is easy to turn this equipment into an engine, ensuring you have 2 of your best creature. #mtg
