To celebrate National Biomechanics Day (April 9th), I made a foldable mini-comic to highlight just a few of the amazing things biomechanists are up to!

Just download, print, and fold:

In the spirit of March Madness, here is a sneak peek at one of the pages for a printable mini-comic I'm making for National Biomechanics Day! And yes, the next page will be about feet.

Stay tuned for updates!

Christopher Long - GALLERY POWER MAN

Hi everyone! No new Biomech-omic today because I'm working on something special for National Biomechanics Day.
However, I made a webpage to store my comics so far. You can check out the gallery at sites.google.com/view/christo... or through the link in my bio!

My labmate just notified me that it is, in fact, Monday. Could've fooled me. Sorry if I spooked anyone who thought they had one less day to write their abstract! 😂

It turns out that I overestimated my ability to make a comic and meet the ASB abstract deadline at the same time, so 4-Panel Friday is coming to you on a Tuesday! The topic of today's comic is fitting, given that I just finished writing a conference abstract all about mechanical power.

It's 4-Panel Friday! Every two weeks, I will post a new Biomech-omic. I plan to alternate between current topics/issues, research highlights, and biomechanics concepts.

Today's comic highlights a common issue in aging research. How generalizable is your data? Food for thought!

Hi Bluesky! I'm a PhD student in the Sayu Lab for Biomechanics and Locomotion. Currently, I study how foot and ankle biomechanics relate to walking efficiency in older adults. I also make comics about Biomechanics. Biomech-omics. Clever, right? If you like biomechanics or foot puns, I'm your guy.
