Are there any other reasons that game wasn't as successful as it should have been ? Perhaps.

My takeaway is unless you're a *massive* success maybe dont make a direct sequel until the post-launch lifecycle of the first game is done.

I thought in a way I could make a bigger and better sequel that addressed all the issues with the first game and that would fix something, but I guess it has not.

What I am finding is that the sequel is essentially in competition with the first game, and since they're usually on sale at the same time, and GD1 has a larger discount, it's losing.

Feel like Grapple Dog 1 is gaining more of an audience as it gets included in bundles and goes on deeper sale. Keep seeing people finding it for the first time. What's weird is there's a lot of folks going 'this game has issues!' and I agree I fixed them in the sequel that is also out.

I don't know what game this is but the font is the same as Dark Cloud and it is activated memories deep within me

Circle is one of the worst ones imo haha. Play Aria of Sorrow if you can.

Yeah it's pretty bad. Lots of dead ends.

There's only 6 days left for the Kickstarter with less than 50% funded!

It's a big stretch, but any exposure for the game will be good in the long run 🐦

Next: Gonna try Hollow Knight and replay Metroid Prime.

It doesn't reach the highs but doesn't reach the lows. It's pretty good.

Beat Harmony of Dissonance. It fixes a lot of the problems with Circle but is also weird in its own ways. Controls a lot better, is a lot clearer, but also introduced this weird two castle system and a lot of the upgrades are unclear. The bosses are really disappointing.
