It's been 11 years since the shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary. A year ago we spoke with author Elizabeth Williamson & the father of one of the victims, Lenny Pozner, for a 2-part podcast on the persistent conspiracy theories calling the massacre a hoax.

๐จ To summarize:
Trump is allowed to argue for dismissal.
Sentencing is delayed for now.
The case is still active, and this is NOT a final resolution.
Stay tuned for updates as we head into Decemberโs motion filings. ๐ต๏ธโโ๏ธ
Trumpโs sentencingโoriginally scheduled for Nov. 26, 2024โhas been adjourned.
๐จ This doesnโt mean he wonโt be sentenced, but itโs been temporarily delayed until the court rules on the motions.
The court has postponed its decision on another motion Trump filed under CPL ยง 330.30(1).
This motion likely addresses legal issues post-conviction or pre-sentencing. The court will review this after receiving the required filings.
A motion schedule has been set:
Trump must submit his motion by Dec. 2, 2024.
The prosecution (NY District Attorney) must respond by Dec. 9, 2024.
The court will NOT accept additional replies after these filings.
Trumpโs request to file a motion to dismiss the charges under CPL ยง 210.40 has been granted.
๐จ Important: This doesnโt mean the charges are dismissed. It simply allows him to argue why the case should be dismissed. The court will decide after reviewing the filings.
Breaking: A New York court has ruled on several motions in Donald Trumpโs case involving 34 felony counts. Hereโs what the decision means for his case ๐งต

Support Ukraine or let them rearmโitโs that simple. Silence on this debate isnโt an answer. Letโs stop pretending we can ignore this. If you oppose funding Ukraine, be ready to explain why they shouldnโt defend themselves through strength.
Why this matters:
Our commitments matter. Breaking them undermines not just Ukraine, but global stability. Either we honor the Budapest Memorandum with financial and military supportโor we accept a world where countries like Ukraine must arm themselves for survival.
To those opposing aid:
You donโt want to send money, yet you wonโt support Ukraine defending itself with nukes. Whatโs your plan? Leaving Ukraine vulnerable invites further Russian aggression and destabilizes Europe. The U.S. cannot afford to signal weakness on the global stage.
The bigger picture:
Abandoning Ukraine risks global chaos. It signals to countries like Iran or North Korea that nuclear weapons are the only path to security. A nuclear Ukraine might stabilize the region, but it risks triggering a global arms race.
A nuclear Ukraine?
If we stop funding Ukraine, the logical solution is to allow them to defend themselves. A nuclear arsenal would deter Russia and create a stalemate. Isnโt that the essence of โpeace through strengthโ?
Why the silence?
MAGA and many in the GOP complain about sending money to Ukraine. But hereโs a question: If you donโt want to fund them, why not let them rearm? Let Ukraine have nukes to defend itself.
When I say this, the conversation often goes silent. Why is there no response?
Whatโs at stake?
Ukraine disarmed for peace. If we abandon them now, the message to the world is clear: giving up nukes is a mistake. This undermines global trust in disarmament and encourages other nations to pursue nuclear weapons as their only reliable defense.
Why does America support Ukraine?
In 1994, Ukraine signed the Budapest Memorandum, giving up the worldโs 3rd largest nuclear arsenal. In exchange, the U.S., U.K., and Russia guaranteed its sovereignty. The logic was simple: disarmament in exchange for security.
Media Matters post about Project 2025 architect Russ Vought returning to lead the Office of Management and Budget. Vought is a leading proponent of using Schedule F to fire thousands of federal workers and replace them with MAGA loyalists.
We tried to warn. And yet the press โfact checkedโ anyone who dared to say Trump was going to implement Project 2025โbecause he said he wouldnโt.
Insane.

21.11.2024 01:07 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0TL;DR: These tariffs hurt before they help. Weโd face higher prices, supply chain disruptions, job losses, and a weakened economy immediately. Manufacturing takes years to recoverโif it even does. Tariffs hurt first, and recovery isnโt guaranteed. ๐จ #Economics #Tariffs
21.11.2024 00:46 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Global Isolation ๐
Imposing tariffs on all imports damages our relationships with allies. It pushes them to trade more with rivals like China. The U.S. risks isolating itself economically and politically in the long term.
Manufacturing Gains Arenโt Immediate ๐๏ธ
Building factories and reshoring production takes years. In the meantime, weโd pay more for goods without alternatives. The economy doesnโt just snap backโitโs a long, uncertain process.
Economic Slowdown Risk ๐
Tariffs are like a tax hike on everyone. Higher prices mean less spending power, which reduces demand and slows the economy. Combined with retaliation, this could lead to a recession before any manufacturing gains materialize.
Job Losses in Other Industries ๐ผ
Retailers, logistics workers, and industries tied to imports would lose jobs as trade slows down. Tariffs donโt just affect manufacturersโthey hurt the broader economy, especially sectors not tied to domestic production.
Retaliation Hurts Farmers and Exporters ๐พ
Other countries wonโt just accept these tariffs. Theyโll retaliate with tariffs on U.S. goods like agriculture, machinery, and energy. Farmers and manufacturers who depend on exports will take a huge hit.
Supply Chains Will Suffer ๐
U.S. businesses rely on imported parts to make products. Tariffs mean higher costs for these components, forcing businesses to raise prices or cut production. This disrupts supply chains overnight, hurting companies AND consumers.
