I am giggling at myself, for how very “newborn” these photos look. But also, very appreciative of the lighting that day 😌.

This is a Valentine’s Day crocheted plushies. It’s has a little peach body, with pink heart antennas, and a pink heart, as the snail’s shell. It’s got black eyebrows, eyes, smiles and pink cheeks. Very kawaii. Very cute.

Making some of these for Saturday’s pop up event, that my little town is participating in! Very limited quality, as these are very much last minute makes 😅

I got my sweet Esmeralda ( my Velcro cat ), a baby wrap, and I put her in it today and she’s the most purring and content cat you’ve ever seen 😂

Actual pro tip: the best way to break into any creative profession is by helping to support and advance other creators. Your peers are not your adversaries. They are your support group.

That said, “Impossible Creatures” by Katherine Rundell was such a wonderful listen/read. I was definitely immersed into the magic world and didn’t really want to press pause, so I could continue to find out what happened next!

I’m on my 3rd audiobook of the year, & it’s only the second full week of the month!

I have to be doing things, like cleaning, or organizing, to really focus on the words. So unless it’s a pattern I know, crocheting & listening is harder. But that’s 3 more books than I read last year, so success!

One of my NY “resolutions” was to find a way to read more. While I love books, getting my brain to slow down enough to read page by page is hard for me. I can do it, but it’s hard.

So, I thought I’d try audiobooks again. I used to listen as a kid. But it’s been years. Happy to say it’s working!

RIP to my travel crafting scissors ✂️ of like 4 years 😂. They decided to give up on life today and snap 🥲 I shall miss them lol 🧶

For those who wanted to see the baby blanket completely finished, here it is. Fabric backed, to protect tiny toes, and slightly loose after the wash, for playing with. It’s soft, it’s cute, it was just in time for my new baby nephew!

I feel like videogames actually do provide a pretty accurate representation of real life right now because a lot of videogames are like “THE WORLD IS ENDING” and then you just collect herbs and pretend nothing is wrong

I went to see @wickedmovie.bsky.social last night.

I don’t wanna spoil it for anyone, but I will say it is excellent. The ending was absolutely incredible and I’d go again, JUST to see that 😂.

Thank you so much! This will be my 2nd nephew and my 3rd time being an Auntie. All the others got blankets. It was only fair I made this one, one too! 😊

I actually have it double fabric’d and a batting blanket insert. So yes, I got a blue fabric, some blanket material, and a nebula style fabric, cut all 3 to be slightly larger than the star itself, so there was space to tuck everything in & hide stitches. Then sewed by hand for like 2hrs 😅 lol
