War of the Worlds ☆☆☆ It's remarkable how poorly they used the conceit of the film, that all the footage we see could be seen on Ice Cube's computer screen. Like, this is just a variation on a found footage movie, but it didn't use those restrictions in service of the story effectively, withholding information to build tension. Instead, this felt like a long cut scene from a War of the Worlds videogame. Things at least started getting silly in the last half hour.
