Friday night reading. How can I love art so much while despising writing about art so much? Maybe Magritte would approve since my shoddy understanding is that he wanted to fight against the traditional view of words being above images?

Are my fellow Canadians also feeling oddly patriotic for it being Independence Day? I love ya Canada. Yeah you are messed up and have some serious baggage but at least I have hope we are heading in the right direction. Most of the time? Dark times.

In Canada we were taught this horrible stuff happened (mostly in the US), it was bad, and phewf, thank God that's over and racism no longer exists! Broke my heart getting older and realizing we were lied to about all of it! Lied to to avoid feeling guilty while others suffer(ed) unsupported!

I always feel like a bit of a ninja going to vote in my riding. A pointless task but I'm stealthy about it. I wonder if the Cons can identify me among them?! I do love how little our election process has changed over time though. Same little pencils and paper ballots! Love it.

Canada has a tough choice to make today. We have to vote between our current prime minister who is well respected and already helping our country through a very difficult period -or- a weirdly damp guy who wants to take away our rights and sell our country to another country.

Ughh, pretty terrible, fearmongering article. Metals are toxicants not toxins, the metals they found don't sound like they were over allowable limits (limits were not even clear), and 'lead safe mama' clearly has some conflicts of interest hawking her own products.

Agreed. Having worked for the province and the feds I would expect they would have to provide something if asked, for transparency purposes, but maybe NSERC works differently? People had to ask though.

Everyone here is posting facts and using logic to explain why Pierre Polievre is awful and extremely dangerous but is anyone else terrified that all the facts and logic just won't matter? I'm not sure anyone is listening. Are we as different from Americans as we would like to think? #politics #CPC
