Hi! Trans guy who writes horror and romance here. If you like your Cthulhu Mythos diverse and homoerotic and your gaslamp fantasy extra gothic, you might like my stuff. I have two short stories up with more on the way, including a super m/mmm romance! Take care now!

I just wrapped this one up this morning. What an absolutely incredible book this one was. It's a slow burn that doesn't bore you and the reveal sneaks up on you. It doesn't beat you in the face with Trans trauma either and that aspect I liked. It allowed it to exist in the background. Great book!

Guess it was after midnight when I reached the house. Hard to tell, with a broken watch in my coat and broken lights on every corner. Not a car on the streets, not a soul in my sight.
Unsurprising. Arkham was safer after dark than New York City, but not by much. The local syndicate kept a curfew and most were smart enough to obey it, but I’d never been smart.
I’d never been lucky, either.
It wasn’t an old house, by Arkham standards. Not a gable roofed relic nor a sturdy stone monument but a tidy, high-roofed thing, with a front porch and windows on both floors.
Once it’d been loved, I’m sure, but like most humans I’ve met, its cheer had faded with age and abuse. Cracks instead of curtains in the windows. An old rotten fence, the gate broken open. The front door, twitching and shaking on its hinges, half open to me already.
Somewhere, not too far away, music played, too far away to catch all the notes, but familiar all the same. Nostalgic as childhood sunshine, and just as bittersweet.
I sighed.
“It’s going to be a bad night, isn’t it?” I said.

Cream and Sugar
By Zach Prince
The Daydream Quarters are a place of playful decadence, ruled over by Adorian, the God of Love. They are populated by his lovers, admirers, scholars, artists, musicians...

...and Honeysuckle, the head butler of the Daydream Quarters.

While Honeysuckle appears to be uptight and businesslike, his heart yearns for Adorian's attention. A single glance, the barest smile, the softest whisper of his name, will send Honeysuckle's heart a-fluttering.

But he is simply one of many admirers living in the Daydream Quarters. Hiding his affection under the veneer of respectability, Honeysuckle is content to pine for Adorian from a distance.

At least, until one fateful morning over breakfast...

He desperately wants to know what it’s like and why it seems so easy for everyone but him to find someone. What’s worse is that, even though he is proud of his identity, Felix also secretly fears that he’s one marginalization too many—Black, queer, and transgender—to ever get his own happily-ever-after. When an anonymous student begins sending him transphobic messages—after publicly posting Felix’s deadname alongside images of him before he transitioned—Felix comes up with a plan for revenge. What he didn’t count on: his catfish scenario landing him in a quasi–love triangle....But as he navigates his complicated feelings, Felix begins a journey of questioning and self-discovery that helps redefine his most important relationship: how he feels about himself. Felix Ever After is an honest and layered story about identity, falling in love, and recognizing the love you deserve." Trans Lives Trans Lives, In this book, Raewyn Connell, a world-leading sociologist and gender researcher, gathers the evidence and writes about the lives of trans women and men, hijra, travesti, and other groups around the world. She looks at the forces shaping trans lives, including medicine and its limitations, precarity and poverty, unequal gender relations, the role of sex work, and encounters with the state and the corporate economy. She discusses what is behind anti-trans campaigns, criticizing the simplistic idea that ‘transphobia’ explains these, and suggesting more potent causes. Finally, by exploring the creative ways trans groups have organized, she argues for the contribution they can and should make to solving our shared contemporary crises.

While Lord says QoF “is a trans book,” it’s also a “compelling fantasy first and foremost" she hopes will appeal to a wide audience. “I’m especially hoping it clicks with queer edgelord teenagers.”
