It was -11°C / 12°F and the roads were barely a suggestion under the snow, but I went out into the woods for a hike anyway to visit my friends. It reminded me of snow days as a kid when the snowfall makes everything quiet and close. For a while, I was at peace.

Oh NO. I am so sorry to hear about Brian’s home.

I know some people tend to scoff at holiday romances (I actually avoided them for some reason I don’t really know, until this year) but man, Let Your Hearts Be Light is satisfying in ways I hadn’t expected!

I’ve been on a “holiday romance” kick even though it’s January because I need some happy fluffy vibes right now as the world crumbles. So I’ve been binging m/m holiday romance books and loving it.

Me again 😄 I’m on the last chapter of Together in a Broken World and I have been going so slow because I don’t want it to end. That’s definitely a 5 star read for me. I’m also reading Let Your Hearts Be Light by Fae Quinn which I am very much enjoying.

That’s an awesome resolution. You’re an inspiration, Tommy. I wish I could do the same, but I’m on the wrong side of the continent for all the good peaks. Anyway, keep it up!

RIP, David Lynch. Truly one of the great weirdoes in film and television history.

New album day is always a good day. I love discovering new music, and though I’m probably late to the vinyl trend, it’s been such a comfort. Something about having to put the record onto the player makes me cherish each song more than if I could just hit “random” and skip 100 songs in a row.

I’m just finishing reading Together in a Broken World by Paul Michael Winters, which I loved. I’ve been going slow because I didn’t want it to end. Listening to A R I Z O N A, Roosevelt, Gunship.

Most modern space films are either “crew finds gruesomely lethal aliens” or “psychological mindf**k where it’s all in their heads”. So few are actually about exploring space, and that’s what I long for. Interstellar is the beloved exception to the rule, but I wish there were more.

Genesee Country Village & Museum is a treasure. So happy this wonderful place is near to where I call home.
