My mother-in-law recently informed me that it is apparently canon that in the 12 days of Christmas the gifts REPEAT each day moving backward. This is a fascinating point (I think your original reply here is spot on!) because it felt purposeful NOT to include any Jews in the film (given that Coogler includes plenty of other races & White Others). I wondered whether it would have broken the metaphor to have too literal a depiction there.
