all of this while looking very focused on the screen while we were just dissociating because we were talking in our head

Having DID is starting to watch a film and realize 45min later that you were so focused on the inner chat that you don’t even know what the film is about.

After 2 months of fighting, my oldest dog will be put down to sleep tomorrow. I’m broken into pieces.

I wish I had the money to buy a new phone with a great camera because the Reflex is often too heavy to carry, but for now it’s not the case.

My goal for the end of this year is to take my real camera with me during my walks again. So I can take time to take pictures while my dogs take time to sniff everything they can. Being so slow triggers too much my ADHD. Having something to do while being slow will probably help.

The more complicated is not even being disabled. It’s mourning the person I used to be. It’s accepting they fact that most of my walks are now way slower than they used to be. It’s learning again and again not to do too much because I was used to to so many more.

And now I have to see a gastroenterologist. For fucks sake I’m tired of this body. Nothing is functional. I’m 36 years old and all I can do is watching it falling apart. At this point, I’m not sure that I’ll see it being old.

I lost the ball while playing with his brother. He had no idea where it was and I couldn’t see it. It took him less than 3 seconds to find it.

I think I’m having a huge AuDHD burnout and it’s terrifying.

They absolutely can be a first pet! Their short life’s can be a true advantage for someone who doesn’t want to be involved too long, and still want a pet. As longs as you’re doing research and match their needs, they’re incredible companions ❤️

One of my #petrats

Rats are amazing animals. The only thing I don’t like about them is that they only live +/- 2 years. It’s not enough. But they’re a HUGE responsibility and they’re one of the most abused animals because people don’t realize how big is the place they take in your life.

And they NEED friends, so you will NEED to introduce new ones as long as you want to keep rats. That’s why a lot of rat people advise to adopt/buy at least 2 rats at a time, because it’s easier for introducing them when they can have buddies they can count on.

A lot of us have a whole room for our pet rats because they need a lot of time out of their cage and my god, they’re messy and loves to gnaw on EVERYTHING. They’re very social, but not always easy with stranger rats. It can take a lot of time to introduce new ones in a already bonded pack of rats.

They’re so worth the struggles in my opinion. They’re so worth the money, time and destructions they make. But they die fast, they’re often sick and vets are incredibly expensive. It’s even more difficult if you have rescued ones because you can’t know their genetics.

Another person I know is realizing that pet rats are not easy animals. Rats are my favorite animals ever but, and I’ll die on that hill, they’re more difficult to keep than dogs, and often more expensive despite being small. Please, be aware of what these amazing little animals truly are.
