These Corporations Stopped Worrying About Democracy and Bought Trump a Ballroom It has been nearly five years since the 2020 presidential election, but President Trump continues to baselessly insist it was stolen.

After January 6, 2021, Amazon, Microsoft, Google, and Comcast publicly pledged to stop donating to politicians who sought to undermine the legitimate results of the 2020 presidential election.

In 2025, these companies have stopped worrying about democracy and are buying Trump a ballroom.

I don’t want to invest like the oligarchy. I don’t want Congress trading stocks on inside info. I don’t want to live in a world where instead of dismantling awful systems, we tell people they should make money off them.

Try not to get too invested in electoral politics but have to say this: Friends don’t let friends rank Cuomo!!!

We are going to have to get good at rapidly evolving our approaches as state repression increases. It’s important that we share stories so that we can decide if and how to adapt to changing contexts.

Pay attention to what works. Notice why it works. Share what works with others.

I'm imagining ICE doing to NYC what it's doing to LA — and the people of NYC responding the way people are in LA — and it all happening under Mayor Cuomo. He'll side with ICE, DHS and, of course, the NYPD. This man, who hates the city and doesn't live here, can not become mayor. Don't rank him.

People trying to protect their neighbors are not the problem. The fact that some of you are thinking that way reflects a level of psychological capture & submission to fascism that you should interrogate. If they want an "excuse" to do something, they'll create one. The good guys aren't the problem.

100+ community members kidnapped by ICE have been crammed into horrific conditions including bathrooms for DAYS at 26 Federal Plaza.

I use “regime” which doesn’t have the same underworld implications but still imho captures its nefarious nature.

Martial law is never about safety. It’s about control. Military vehicles + ICE = open season on dissent. This is the authoritarian playbook in full effect.

Update: reports today that multiple legal observers were arrested today in New York at two separate immigration courts, for allegedly “obstructing” ICE.

Not only that, apparently some immigration courts are barring the public from attending hearings.

This mess is escalating fast.

Universities are not actually extensions of political agendas in a free society (or shouldn't be), so having this be the baseline is incredibly disturbing and a big red flag.
