This is a perfect Tree Action Guy tweet because just like with the tree stuff, it completely ignores any problems with the status quo and refuses to engage with the actual question of how to improve things.

Congress must return immediately and vote to put an end to this war.

Every Senator should be on the recordβ€”the American people deserve to know which of their leaders supports another potentially bloody and costly war in the Middle East.

No war with Iran.

Tonight Critical Mass Seattle rode in honor of Lilliana Moreno, who was killed by a car at the intersection of Pine and Bellevue in Capitol Hill a week and a half ago. We rode out and held vigil at the intersection before continuing on. Our friends and neighbors should not die on our streets.

It's also just best practice to focus on preventing crashes. Here's NTSB chair Jennifer Homendy talking about the need for changes after tragedy.

With the tiniest bit of knowledge it's easy to see why safe streets advocacy needs to protest crashes.

What typically gets press coverage is when there’s a cyclist or pedestrian involved, and so there’s this general association of β€œoh, hey, the bikes or pedestrians must be the problem” when cars are f*#%ing crashing into everything all the time.

Capitol Hill offers many different ways to die, this is an unfortunate but unusual one. What justice are they requesting?

I can’t help but giggle and stain myself just a bit when I see one of these guys laying on the road. Stay off of the road. You have zero business on them! Hope you learned a lesson

So many enraged little speed bumps, so little time. Accidents happen. Get over it. Not EVERYTHING has to become a "cause" that encourages smooth brains to block roadways and inconvenience other peoples' lives.

If you knew Lillian please don't read these, but if you are an advocate afraid that you'll say the wrong thing. You should read these and understand that the bar is in hell.

One of the things that drives me absolutely crazy is that NIMBYs will never apply this logic to changing the status quo on roads. When it comes to roads we need to listen to people that live miles away.

I'm trying to imagine medina residents losing their minds if someone proposed this 6 story "suburban" home on one of their lots.

26.02.2026 15:33 β€” πŸ‘ 6    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

It can sometimes be difficult to talk sensibly about housing because when people say they like suburbs some people mean a 6 story mansion in the most urban zip code you can imagine.

26.02.2026 15:26 β€” πŸ‘ 8    πŸ” 2    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

A lot of people don't use suburban to mean a neighborhood topology and instead use it to mean something else. Here it means luxury and sqftage.
