We will do a 2,500 page environmental review on a new highway that we know will lead to more traffic, and then rule out a bus lane with analysis that is done on the back of a napkin.

When older people talk about the tradeoffs they faced in their early to mid career it makes it even clearer to me that there's a real tightness in the affordability of housing than before.

Feel free to respond here, or to my most recent email asking why seemingly nothing has been done to try to address drive by shootings in the Rainier Vista neighborhood. Is the community just going to have to close streets ourselves or is the city going to be a partner?

Respectfully, what action are you hoping for if "accurate data" reached SPD? And why have previous years data not created the changes required to address gun violence citywide, but especially in D2?

No idea, I'm just pretty sure that the newer battery I bought this summer-ish is a "safe shield" battery which doesn't seem to be part of the recall based on RADs comment.

Tbf these are only older batteries, and their new battery isn't part of this recall. My battery that would have been on this recall died on me a few months ago.

Noteworthy, because in 2009 this was specifically not the process, with an independent body created to produce a list of names - because it's a bit unusual for an Executive to create a list of candidates to fill their own vacant council seat.

Yeah, in fairness I think Renton airport is probably the better analog. It'll be interesting to see what happens when the 737 sunsets. Is that the end of the Renton factory?

One of the coolest things I saw in Toulouse was the redevelopment of the Toulouse-Montaudran airport. It's a bigger project than what Mike is talking about, but we have some seriously brownfield opportunities in Seattle and the region and I wish we could do this type of development.

All this said, I don't really think Mayor Wilson needs us to tell her this. She's been involved in enough of the same fights as the rest of us and knows that the SDOT signals division was always an impediment to progress.

It still isn't update on google maps yet, but it's a new Zeitgeist location, and it's this building in the triangle lot.

This isn't born of an animus for Emery, it's just a base reality of Emery's background and professional experience. Emery's professional experience and training is about moving cars more quickly, it's out of step with what a city transportation policy is.

I view accepting interim director Adiam Emery's resignation as the first test for Mayor Wilson on transportation. I don't think that she can deliver on her vision with Emery at the helm of SDOT.
