11.11.2025 14:47 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Yeah, that's what I meant with educate really, not like teaching 😅
It's important that kids grow up having the space and opportunity to have social interactions that they enjoy, peers that they bond with so that they cherish these moments more than anything that a device or AI can ever offer
Congrats and all the best to you all 😍
10.11.2025 14:14 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Good shout, I have not implemented an RSS feed yet but I can look into it! Thanks for the suggestion!
08.11.2025 11:12 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0As much as AI is going to be important in the future, it’s also going to be important to educate kids on how to safely use it.
AI will and never can replace human interactions.
I used to roll my eyes at the AI hype. When my previous workplace announced “Everyone needs to use AI now,” I felt like following a trend rather than solving problems.
Here’s how I went from being sceptical to embracing AI tools:

Sometimes you don't realize what you needed until you find it. Buffer isn't just where my skills fit - it's where I fit as a person. A feeling I haven't had in a while when it comes to my job.
My key takeaway for anyone looking for the next opportunity: The right culture match is worth the wait. 🧡
Working async anywhere from Australia to the US actually works. Comparing that to past experiences where I often felt like I was coding in a silo even though my team was in a single timezone, and the difference is night and day. True collaboration across timezones is possible, if everyone wants to!
07.11.2025 12:04 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0What really struck me was seeing Buffer values in action. "Showing gratitude" is not just a poster on a wall. No, everyone here actively gives "tacos" 🌮 (our gratitude system) every single day. No prompts needed. We just live it. People here genuinely embody what they believe in.
07.11.2025 12:04 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0In a world obsessed with AI automation and efficiency metrics, Buffer hasn't forgotten the most important element: humans. My onboarding was thoughtfully crafted by both my team and the people team, fully tailored to me as a person and my new role within the team and wider company
07.11.2025 12:04 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Two weeks into my new role at @buffer.com and I'm genuinely blown away. After applying 3 times over the years, I finally got in as a Senior Software Engineer. And honestly? It's everything I hoped it would be and more.
Here's why 🧵
@akenroberts.com Thank you that was super helpful!
05.11.2025 08:30 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0@akenroberts.com ah yes, that’s that's what I was looking for! Thank you
I solved it this way: bsky.app/profile/rath... but I think I’ll update to this cleaner way
But that feels a bit weird as I would expect to make this change somewhere with Fortify?
04.11.2025 22:41 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0That doesn't work for me as users should still be able to visit "/" while logged in.
So what I am doing at the moment is calling
\Illuminate\Auth\Middleware\RedirectIfAuthenticated::redirectUsing(fn () => '/w');
in my AppServiceProvider overwriting some logic in that middleware
Cleared configs and stuff but with no effect
04.11.2025 21:02 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0But when I visit /login with an active session, it redirects me to / instead of the new route.
Why is this happening? Can't really find it out 😅
I need some help from the Laravel makers:
I have an almost fresh Laravel 12 application, added Laravel Fortify to it and now want to update the page the user lands on after successful auth.
So I updated the 'home' in config/fortify.php and it works after login but ...

Watching this while enjoying my dark roast coffee made in an old mokapot 😅
02.11.2025 09:40 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Oh that makes absolutely sense! Didn’t think about that!
01.11.2025 07:45 — 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0I’m curious, what’s the thinking behind adding Verbs to the stack? Any requirement that makes this an obvious choice?
31.10.2025 10:27 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0I'm late to realize this but I'm reaching so many people on LinkedIn, would have never thought that. Yes, it also attracts lots of spam but even without, it's a quite useful channel
29.10.2025 08:12 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0I can totally related to this. I couldn’t drink coffee for weeks because I caught the same cold our little got.
The first cup after weeks was so special.
Hope you feel better now!
Vibe-Coding in a language that you've never learnt is fun until you hit an edge-case that AI just doesn't get.

macOS has some weird issues 😅
Good old times! Forums were how I learnt web development 😍
25.10.2025 08:32 — 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Now I’m unsure about which of either is actually the correct one 😂
24.10.2025 16:42 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Just published my first macOS app - a menubar tool for checking teammates' time zones! 🎉
Wild part? Fully native SwiftUI despite never writing Swift before. Claude Code helped me learn & ship it. AI can be easily used as a tool for learning new stuff!
