Overall, I’d still recommend the remake over the original to new players, since it just feels so much better to play.

And my complaints may just be my nostalgia talking. I played P3P 8 years ago and it’s probably my favorite game I’ve ever played.

But somehow, it feels too polished. The rough gameplay and simple presentation of the original added to the depressive mood of the world and made the excellent character writing stand out even more.
The flashy presentation of the remake changed the tone significantly.

I have a lot of thoughts on this remake, but since this place isn’t meant for essays, I’ll just sum them up with a short thread:

The original Persona 3 is a very crude game by modern standards. P3R polished it to a sheen, it’s basically Persona 3 with the quality of Persona 5…

Finally rolled credits on Persona 3 Reload. 😩

Didn’t have too much time for games lately, so it took me 7 months to clock in the 90 hours required to finish the game 😬
