Being Bahrain, they could at least escape to Saudi if needed (as long as it's safe to do so).

Unlike some agents who refuse to help when someone hasn't booked with them - in times of a crisis professionals should be there no matter who they have booked with to at least give guidance. It's a poor reflection of what our industry has become.

Airlines have a one-size-fits-all approach to passenger assistance, and it sucks.

It also saves airlines a ton of money because they outsource the responsibility and then stop caring.

The question being, surely the travel, transport and infrastructure is going to be more important as a carbon than 22 cars travelling around a 3 mile circuit maybe 120 a weekend. This then pales into insignificance, just for the β€˜kudos’ of doing it.

Foreign Office advises against all but essential travel to Cuba The UK Foreign Office (FCDO) has updated its advice to warn against all but essential travel to Cuba. The advice, issued this evening (11 February), says: β€œCuba is experiencing severe and worsening disruption to essential infrastructure, persistent nationwide power outages, fuel shortages, and increasing safety risks. These conditions significantly affect the ability of visitors to access reliable transport, medical care, communications, and basic services. β€œAuthorities have introduced fuel rationing, scaled back public services, and made temporary changes to healthcare, education, transport and tourism operations in order to conserve severely limited energy supplies. β€œFlight schedules are also being disrupted due to aviation fuel shortages, with some airlines reviewing routes or temporarily cancelling services which risk visitors being unable to leave the country. β€œIf you are currently in Cuba, carefully consider if your presence is essential. Take precautions by conserving fuel, water, food andΒ mobile phoneΒ charge, and be prepared for significant disruption. β€œCheck for messaging from your airline or tour operator.”
