You guys I'm watching a documentary about a Roman dude that got murked by the Senate and I gotta tell you guys a lot of this stuff about the political climate sounds DEEPLY familiar to our current news.... I'm just saying maybe there's hope.

Even if you are a part of a marginalized community, you often still have to do the work to deactivate the societal standards you've internalized. When you don't do this work, you pass on the harm you've received to other members of your community.

A lot of people in marginalized communities find safety in emulating the oppressive majority. While this behavior is understandable and I can empathize, this makes a person unsafe for the rest of the community, as their behaviors and world view are still locked in the oppressor's mindset.

One of my biggest fears of changing social media hands is losing awareness in community politics, I'm really happy to see some people doing the work to keep activism accessible

You know what's crazy to me? That people are more afraid of being perceived as bad than they are of creating actual harmful immediate consequences for their community in real time. The dedication to arbitrary social expectations over your loved ones is wild to me.

America is a country of rich white people, by rich white people, for rich white people. For the entirety of its existence it has depended on the physical labor of displaced black and brown people. Now, they want to expel those people. The caucacity. It would be funny if it didn't hurt so much.

Can I just say that AI servers may be destroying the environment, and yes individuals not using AI may reduce the impact by a small amount but... Servers are not new, not by a long shot, and AI is not even close to the only place using them. ALL internet based companies use them, since like, the 90s
